FAQs

Here are some of the most common questions we receive about Pamper Parties. Please feel free to contact us directly if you have any other questions.

How many people do I need?

Our Mid-Week Pampering service is for 2 to 6 people and Pamper Parties are for a minimum of 3 people. Our largest Pamper Party to date was for 28 people. Our automated system can cope with a maximum of 8 therapists at one party, but we can cater for much larger customised events.

Where do the therapies take place?

Massages and Facials require a little peace and serenity and usually take place in a bedroom. Manicures and pedicures can take place in a living room or dining room - we're flexible and can accommodate most homes provided you have adequate space. During the summer, therapies can take place in the garden (e.g. under a gazebo). Most Pamper Parties are hosted in people's homes but we can also come to your hotel or rented cottage (please get their permission before booking). We provide some guidelines about the space and rooms required for specific treatments at Treatments.

How long does a Pamper Party last?

Please allow up to 4 hours for your Pamper Party. Some parties may only last 3 hours, depending on guest numbers but we do find that guest numbers will change in the run up to your party so it is advisable to allow the full 4 hours.

Do you cover my area?

We cover most areas in England. If you want a party in a remote area of the country we advise that you contact us first to check availability. We will check directly with therapists in your area before accepting your booking. In Scotland we cover Glasgow, Edinburgh and surrounding areas, likewise in Wales we cover the areas around Cardiff and Swansea but cannot reach more remote areas. How much notice do you require?

Although we can usually accommodate short notice bookings, as much notice as possible is preferred so that there is time for guests to select their treatment and for everything to be organised as smoothly as possible. If you are redeeming a 'Pamper Party for Four' voucher we require at least two weeks notice.

How do I invite my guests?

When you book a Pamper Party you will receive a password with your party confirmation which will allow you to login to our system and invite your guests online. They can then select their own treatments prior to the party. You can monitor your guests treatment selections and you can send a quick reminder to anyone who is taking a while to choose their treatments. See Customer Login.

*We do not provide a customer login and invitation system for our Mid-Week Pampering service

What treatments can we have?

At Pamper Parties, the most popular treatments are massages, manicures, pedicures and facials. We can also provide treatments like reflexology, Indian head massage, eyebrow shaping and make-up. While we can usually guarantee the availability of the most popular treatments, the availability of others may depend on the number of guests who are interested in those treatments and the number of therapists attending your party. See Treatments for more details.

*With our Mid-Week Pampering service the range of treatments is limited according to the selected package

What products do the therapists use?

Our network of therapists are all trained in different products and while we insist on the use of good quality products, we do not currently endorse any specific product. If you require the use of a specific product range then we request that you give us advance notice (e.g. when making your booking) so we may book a therapist who carries those products. We may not be able to meet specific product requests if we have already booked therapists for your event.

What if we are unhappy with the service levels provided

We all do our best to ensure that we are providing the best possible service to our customers. We have excellent organisational procedures and work with a fantastic team of representatives and therapists. If for any reason you feel that we have not lived up to a customer's expectations we are keen to rectify the situation with our Satisfaction Guarantee.

Are there any age limits?

There are no upper age limits, as long as clients are in good health and have no pre-existing conditions which may prevent them from receiving treatments. Unfortunately we do not provide our services to under 16s. Please see our list of suppliers of Children's Pamper Parties.

Can guests come even if they don't want treatments?

Yes of course they can, however at Pamper Parties they will not be able to have a treatment on the day if they change their mind.

Can I apply to be a therapist?

If you are a fully qualified and insured therapist who loves to make people feel pampered, please go to our website for therapist recruitment at www.pamperpeople.co.uk

What happens if I need to change the number of guests?

You need to let us know as soon as possible as it may affect the number of therapists that we send to your party and the price per guest. Refunds can be given for guests who are unable to attend your Pamper Party if we are provided with a minimum of 7 days notice. If guest numbers change at a Mid-Week Pampering event the total time can be split between the remaining guests.

Do I need to provide the therapists with anything?

All of our therapists are fairly self sufficient, they may need some hot water or to use electricity for ‘foot baths’, as well as being able to use the standard chairs and tables in your house (they will provide towels to cover your table). The main thing they will appreciate is a nice welcome on their arrival as they may feel a little nervous entering a stranger's house. They will also appreciate a pre-prepared space for them to work in according to the guidelines we provide in the information pack we'll send to you. Pampering can also be thirsty work so they may appreciate the offer of a glass of water or a cuppa.

Will we have to buy products from you or your company?

Definitely not, we do not promote any other products or pressurise any other guests to book parties.

Do you do Pamper Parties for men?

We are unable to provide parties for all male groups as it would be an uncomfortable environment for many of our therapists. We should be able to accommodate mixed groups, although we would request advance notice so that we can be sure that we can allocate therapists who are comfortable providing treatments for men.

Do the therapists wear uniforms?

The therapists will wear clothing appropriate to the treatments they are providing. This will usually be black, white or grey beauty tunics.

What clothes should the guests wear?

Loose fitting clothes are ideal, or even bath robes if you wish. It is a good idea to remove necklaces and earrings prior to having massages or facials and if you have long hair you may want to put it in a band before going in for your massage.

Do you provide food?

Unfortunately we do not provide food, we suggest that the hostess provides simple healthy nibbles so they are not too stressed out about cooking on the day. See our party recipe ideas for some quick and tasty suggestions to welcome your party guests.

Can you provide free pampering for our charity fundraiser or PTA event?

In the past we have organised therapists for charity and fundraising events. We found however that we became a little overwhelmed with requests and some of these events involved far more time to organise than we anticipated. We have therefore ceased to organise therapists for such events. We recommend that if you contact any therapists directly for charity events that they would appreciate the offer of a small sum of around £30 for the evening to cover their costs for fuel and products.

Are certain medical conditions contra-indicated for pampering treatments?

There are a small number of medical conditions for which pampering treatments are totally contra-indicated and some conditions which require the client's consent before they can be performed. You will be required to sign a consent form, handed to your therapist prior to receiving your treatment. We also provide a full list and information in our Customer Login area for Pamper Parties.
